I’m Daniela Frongia, a visual artist working at the intersection of expressive character-driven storytelling and hyperrealistic airbrush painting.

With over 14 years of professional experience across children’s publishing and fine art, my practice focuses on emotionally rich imagery, strong narrative presence, cinematic lighting and highly detailed rendering.

I am among the few contemporary illustrators working extensively with airbrush within editorial and publishing contexts, bringing a fine-art approach to character design, illustration and visual storytelling.

My work has been published internationally and featured in established art and illustration magazines, including Airbrush Step by Step (with a cover feature), Be Artist (Oracom Editions), and Dessin d’Anatomie. My work will also appear in Character Design Quarterly (CDQ) in 2026.

I have been recognised in international competitions and exhibitions such as Sketch for Survival (Highly Commended Collection), the Hiii Illustration Awards, and the FIIN Nature Drawing Exhibition in Portugal.

I collaborate with authors, publishers and creative teams who value expressive, heartfelt and visually compelling storytelling.
